Special Admissions Contest for International Students |
Admissions requirements
May apply for registration in 1st cycle (bachelors degree) and integrated masters courses, the holders of a qualification which, in the country where it was obtained, give them the right to stand and access to higher education; holders of a diploma from the Portuguese secondary school or equivalent degree ( see regulation ).
Entry requirements
They are only allowed on this special contest, international students who cumulatively:
a) Demonstrate have specific academic qualifications for entry into the course of study, in accordance with Article 5;
b) Have a knowledge of the Portuguese language level required to attend that course in accordance with the provisions of Article 6 or undertake to achieve it according to the requirements of Article 7 ( see regulation ).
Applicants must demonstrate expertise in the field of entrance examinations set for the course of study in question under the general system of access and entry, proving that these skills are of equivalent level and content to students admitted through the general system of access and ticket.
The demonstration of knowledge can be made by:
- Documentary evidence, when the candidate has already been evaluated previously at the level of evidence and content equivalent to those provided by the students admitted through the general system of access and entry governed by DL 296-A / 98 September 25th;
or
- Written examinations.
All documents related to the verification of the fulfillment of entry conditions, including any written tests carried out by the student integrate his personal file. ( see regulation )
Application and Documents
The application process should be accompanied by the following documents:
- Simple photocopy of the passport or foreign identity card;
- Statement, of honor, that the candidate does not have a Portuguese nationality or is covered by any of the conditions listed in the subparagraphs of Article 2 paragraph 2 ( see regulation );
- Document certifying the completion of the Portuguese secondary school or equivalent degree, and their respective classifications obtained; or
- Document proving ownership of a qualification that, in the country where it was obtained, grants him the right to stand and access to higher education in that country, as well as their classification, making proof of its validation by the competent authority of that country, under paragraph 2 of Article 3 ( see regulation );
- Document conducting tests deemed equivalent level and content provided by the students admitted through the general system of access and entry, as well as their classification obtained them;
- Portuguese Intermediate Diploma Foreign Language, Level B2, or other B2 level certificate of knowledge of Portuguese issued by Portuguese higher education institution;
- In the case of paragraph b) of paragraph 2 of Article 6, document issued by the relevant departments of the State where the student resided ( see regulation ).
Evidence, Deadlines and Costs
Upon completion of the application deadline, will take place the written exams, necessary for confirmation of specific academic qualifications of candidates.
