The plenary sessions of GFC2021 are focused on: - The Challenges for local fashion in the global world - two local brands present their international experiences, ACEPHALA from Poland and D-due from Spain; - The Challenges for Fashion Sustainability and Circular Economy in the present context – Esben Pedersen from Copenhagen Business School and Aleksandra Pawelec from the Polish Retail Group LPP will share research and practice; - The Challenges for Sustainability in the new business models of resale – Linda Lisa Turunen from Aalto University and Tomasz Boscian, CEO of UbraniaDoOddania from Poland will bring forward very different views and models; - The Challenges for Funding Fashion Sustainability – Christiaan Lensvelt, Investment Advisor of the Good Fashion Fund will highlight impact measures looked for by investors in sustainable fashion; - The Challenges for Sustainable Production – New materials and circularity – Monika Malinowska-Olszowy from Lodtz University of Technology, Poland and, Elsa Parente CEO of RDD Textiles will uncover some of the trends and accomplishments in this field; - The Challenges for Fashion Education – Isabel Martins Moreira from PUC, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Giovanni Conti from Milano Fashion Institute and Politecnico di Milano, Lynda Grose from California College of Arts and Koshalpreet Kaur from G D Goenka University, India will discuss the present of sustainable fashion education.
